Prefabricated substation (also known as box type substation or European style box transformer, abbreviated as Euro transformer) is a mobile transformer and distribution equipment set composed of high and low voltage switchgear, transformers, and enclosures, and pre assembled by the factory. It is mainly used to replace traditional civil type substations and achieve the functions of transformation and distribution. Prefabricated substations can be used both outdoors and indoors, and are widely used in industrial parks, residential areas, commercial centers, public places, airports, docks, subways, hotels, schools, hospitals, and mobile construction sites, mines, oil fields, and other places. According to their special purposes, they can also be divided into prefabricated substations for urban municipal lighting, prefabricated substations for urban and rural power grid renovation, prefabricated substations for factory distribution, prefabricated substations for nuclear power plants, prefabricated substations for wind power generation, prefabricated substations for highways, prefabricated substations for seaports and docks, and prefabricated substations for airports.
