Chongqing Wangbian Electric (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "the Company" or "WBEC") was established in Chongqing on August 16, 1994. The Company has three subsidiaries: Yunnan Transformer Electric Co., Ltd., Chongqing Huize Electric Co., Ltd., and Qiannan Wangjiang Transformer Co., Ltd. Additionally, it holds a stake in Chongqing Energy Investment Changshou Economic Development Zone Power Sales Co., Ltd. The Company was listed on the main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on April 28, 2022, under the stock abbreviation "Wangbian Electric" and the stock code "603191". On April 1, 2024, it acquired the 88-year-old Yunnan Transformer Electric Co., Ltd., formerly a subsidiary of the China South Industries Group Corporation.

Headquartered in the Jiangbeizui Financial Center, Chongqing, the Company's main production facilities are located in Changshou, Chongqing, Kunming, Yunnan, and Duyun, Guizhou. It maintains offices nationwide. WBEC specializes in manufacturing two main categories of products: power transmission, distribution, and control equipment, as well as CRGO silicon steel. The Company has developed an integrated industrial chain comprising "oriented silicon steel—silicon steel core—power transformer—box-type substation/complete sets of electrical equipment—maintenance, operation, and installation services". Its power transmission, distribution, and control equipment include power transformers, distribution transformers, box-type substations, and complete sets of electrical equipment, widely utilized in various fields such as rail transit (traction transformers), wind power and photovoltaic power generation (new energy box-type transformers), data centers, energy conservation, and environmental protection.

WBEC has the capability to manufacture power transformers with a maximum voltage level of 500KV and a maximum unit capacity of 1000MVA. Its independently developed products such as the AT power supply 220kV single-phase traction transformer, traction auto-transformer, and Vv-connected traction transformer have received provincial new product appraisal, bridging domestic gaps and achieving international standards. CRGO silicon steel products encompass high magnetic induction oriented silicon steel (HiB), general oriented silicon steel (CGO), and silicon steel cores, leading in product performance nationally and addressing oriented silicon steel production gaps in the southwest region. It is the sole enterprise in the power transmission and distribution industry with an entire industrial chain from upstream raw materials to terminal services, enabling customers to procure all products across the industrial chain.

With a focus on cultivating "new quality productive forces," WBEC continues to enhance R&D innovation and talent acquisition efforts. The Company has established the Huize Research Institute, a postdoctoral research workstation, and an academician innovation team led by Academician Wang Weihua of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. WBEC holds 237 core patent technologies, including Double-Split Rectifier Transformer, Solar Automatic Cooling Transformer, Modular Prefabricated Substation, and Production of HiB in Low Temperature without Underlayer. It has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise, a national specialized and new "little giant" enterprise, a national intellectual property advantage enterprise, a Chongqing SME "specialized and new" enterprise, and a Chongqing technology innovation demonstration enterprise.

The Company upholds the service mission of "unconditional service, endless pursuit, and optimal cost-effectiveness," engaging deeply in the industry for 30 years and establishing a broad customer base. Its sales area spans southwestern regions such as Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, and expanding to fast-growing regions like Northwest China, Central China, South China, and North China. WBEC has set up an international marketing center to extend its reach globally, with products and services covering overseas markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, America, and Africa.
